A few days ago, there were reports suggesting that Paula Abdul would appear on the "American Idol" finale Wednesday as a part of Simon Cowell's grand farewell from the show. Now, the news has been all but confirmed.
In addition to appearing on the show, TMZ is reporting that the popular former judge also filmed a brief segment in which she tributes Cowell. The two are reportedly good friends thanks to their time together on "Idol," and there has been rampant speculation that she would serve as a judge on his upcoming American adaptation of "X Factor." (However, that could be in doubt now as she is set to executive produce and serve as a lead judge for a new show entitled "Got to Dance.")
Now, if only Fox would allow Paula to jump into her seat one last time to share her opinions on Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox. Ratings have declined since her departure, though one could argue this has something to do with this season's crop of contestants or the natural progression of a show.
