Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood have just proved why American Idol is one of the greatest reality shows in history. On Monday morning, Wetpaint shared video performances from CMT Crossroads, by Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood. The videos taped on Feb. 3 are catching fire online today, after the Monday's posting of the videos from CMT Crossroads.
Carrie Underwood a past winner of American Idol and Steven Tyler currently a judge for AI, performed for CMT Crossroads. The song "Crying," one of Tyler's most popular songs, was performed by Underwood and Tyler and included a brief harmonica solo by Tyler. The duo also performed other songs such as "Dream On" and "Before He Cheats." Videos of the performance are seen in the video box to the left.
The muli-talent singers sounded perfect together. The energy from onstage created an enthusiastic audience response. Carrie Underwood looked awesome with long curly hair floating around as she stomped her feet and sang the words with passion. Carrie and Steve seemed to have a real crazy rapport and energized viewers. The voices were suited for each other. One can hope that there will be a night like this during American Idol this year, perhaps both coaching the young contestants.
The response by fans is enthusiastic and across social media most are are thrilled with the duet's sound. One fan Caitlyn wrote,"Carrie Underwood & Steven Tyler is by far the best CMT Crossroads ever! hope it comes out on dvd"
The song "Dream On," was performed and although we prefer the version from last year, during the AI finale, Steven's yodel in the middle of this version was incredible.
