'American Idol': One performer is sent home

On Thursday night the votes based on Wednesday performances of “American Idol” were read. Caleb was saved and at the bottom were Dexter, Majesty, and MK.

MK has come far in the competition despite having a voice that lacks power and her stage presence is just inexistent, so it is surprising that she has made it this far. That also could be said of other performers who just don’t appear as “American Idol” material and perhaps are kept just to fill in the final weeks of the competition. America decides on who stays and who goes, the judges have one save in their arsenal, but in order to be used they have to be unanimous and this week again, there was a split vote and so MK at the end was sent home.

“American Idol” runs on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EDT and Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
