For last night's Idol, the show was hosted in San Antonio, Texas, for the very first time.
Victoria Acosta (20) sang Fergie's, "Big Girls Don't Cry" and made it to the next round. It was sweet!
Derek and David Bacerott (21 & 24). Sigh. These brothers did, "You Should Let Me Love You," in sort-of unison and didn't keep time well. They were scolded by Randy for their abysmal attitude's. The scutted off of the stage to whine about it.
Jesaiah Baer (16) sang, "Settle Down," by Kimbra and moves one.
Christabel Clack (29) sang Alicia Key's, "If I Aint Got You."
Ann Difani (23) was nominated by her husband to audition. She sang Faith Hill's, "Stronger," and whooped it! She will be moving on.
Matt Farmer (26) sang Sam Cooke's, "A Change is Gonna Come" and advanced to the next level.
Matheus Fernandes (21). Fernandes is the last to audition and he does Sam Cooke's, "A Change is Gonna Come." Hollywood.
(Kimberly) Rachel Hale (21) does Curtis Mayfield's, "People Get Ready," and is compared to Wynonna Judd. Hollywood.
Micah Johnson (24) sings, Zac Brown Band's, "Chicken Fried" and it is amazing. Keith was harmonizing with him by the end of his audition. Hollywood.
Sanni M’mairura (16) did, "Who's Loving You," by Michael Jackson. This young man is perched at the cusp of manhood. How will his singing evolve as the contest progresses? Going to Hollywood.
Brianna Oakley (16) goes to Hollywood.
Papa Peachez (19) sang a self-written tune, which partly worked against him. They just were not that good. His singing was iffy also. But, he totally had something and he was admonished to leave and begin seriously the business of singing. Then, a tie was settled by Randy and this young, gay male with the poorly thought-out name will be going to Hollywood. This kid is a diamond in the rough. That is for certain!
Vincent Powell (29) was an Idol return and he did B.B. King's, "Rock Me Baby." He will be advancing.
Adam Sanders (19) sang, "I'd Rather Go Blind," the depth of this kid's talent has no boundaries. He received a standing ovation from the judges. Moving on.
Stephanie Sansone (16) did the death metal screaming thing, then, leaves the audition while demonstrating her tallest finger for judges. Tender.
Shubha Vedula (17) does Christina Aguilera and is going to Hollywood.
Savannah Vochion (24) performed Etta James' "At Last," hit the high notes and will move on to Hollywood.
