Did you really think that Howard Stern wasn't going to address rumors that he could be the next "American Idol" judge? If so, think again: the media mogul took to his radio show on Monday and was very candid about his thoughts on "Idol." The biggest surprise? He said he'd have no problem doing the show: judge as long as he got a big enough paycheck: “They’d have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough."
How much dough are we talking about here? We all know that Stern makes hundreds of millions of dollars on his Sirius show, so it's really no surprise that the shock jock wants "$100 million" if he is to jump ship on to "Idol." If he means $100 million a season, then we could be potentially looking at a price far too steep for Fox. Plus, we don't even know yet if Howard would be well-received by the regular "Idol" viewership. It would be one of the biggest gambles in TV history, and for the network it could have disastrous results.
What do you think: is Howard Stern worth $100 million to "American Idol?" Feel free to share your thoughts below and stay tuned for more news.

Yuck. Wouldn't watch if he hosts.
HELL NO!!!!!
Howard Stern is awesome but what does he know about music really? he's a talk show host.
Absolutely! His true fans know he is a smart, witty, talented guy who is quite capable of adjusting to the AI standards- while still being smart, witty... True AI fans (those who stick with the show regardless of who they hire) will see this side of him as well. His radio show isn't for everybody, but he's just as if not more qualified than most of the other names I've heard. I love both shows and think he'd be a great fit and surprise a lot of people!
Came a long way from getting beaten up in Roosevelt High School
Come on people...Howard Stern? The show is already getting less viewers..and less talented singers are seeming to move on in the show to keep it interesting. This is far from what the show started off to be all those years ago. Adding Stern would be a ratings move and very very risky. Go get somebody who actually knows the music business and talent. Why not Diddy or Justin Timberlake? those guys would draw viewers, have greaet personalities and at least know what they are talking about.
Got something to say?
