If you watched the results show of American Idol Thursday night, then you saw alum, James Durbin perform his new hit song ‘Higher Than Heaven.’ He then announced that he will be coming to Baltimore. Durbin will be at Rams Head Live with Steel Panther on May 17.

America grew to love Durbin when he was a contestant on last season’s American Idol who placed fourth. He had a heavy metal edge and performed on stage with legends Judas Priest during the finale.

Durbin recently got married to longtime love Heidi Lowe and American Idol’s Stefano Langone served as his best man. Casey Abrams who was also a finalist was a hold up as a guest at Durbin’s wedding for being late because he didn’t want to ask for directions.

His debut album ‘Memories of a Beautiful Disaster’ is in stores now and sold over 100,000 copies so far. So, get ready for a rock show with a capital ‘R’ since Durbin’s musical influences are Robert Plant, Ronnie James Dio, Steven Tyler and Freddie Mercury. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by clicking here.
