If you really think that Crystal Bowersox wanted to quit "American Idol," then think again. A friend of the show favorite recently told Radar Online that the singer is definitely in the competition to win it, even if there are small issues here and there that get in the way:
"Don’t worry about Crystal, she wants to win American Idol. She totally wants it. She is pumped!”
So what problems does the singer have with the way the show runs the operation? The source explains:
“She has problems with the process at times and with the fact that she cannot spend as much time with her son Tony as she would like because of all her commitments right now.
“It’s like losing weight. Nobody likes the process but it is the end results that matter and Crystal wants a better future for her family and son. That’s why she entered 'American Idol.'
“Her fans need not worry. Crystal is doing great and very determined too.”
Judging from her performance of "People Get Ready" on Tuesday night's performance show, Bowersox is clearly miles in front of the competition in order to take the top prize.

She's being a news WHORE! I know she is one of best singers but I don't care because the whole show pimps her to death. Then news articles PIMP her even more. For you Crystal SHEEP that think she's winning on skill alone you are wrong. She would be one of three likely people to win this year. But with Simon panning Siobhan 9 of 10 times, she no longer can win this even though she has a great voice too! He as only praised Siobhan ONE time out of 10 performances! How can that be believable? Also contestants with BABIES ARE the most annoying because they use that baby OVER AND OVER, and their naive fans don't get that. Nikki McKibbon did this and made it to 4th place even though she sucks as a singer. That's why Big Mike is also doing it. THEY KNOW it helps. And here Crystal is ALWAYS getting in something about that baby by playing innocent. Think about it people. I'd bet she brings the baby on the show soon. Also BEV is a prime example of those who vote for this reason.
I don't think Crystal needs any gimmicks to win...I've watched whole episodes and come away thinking she is the only one who actually CAN sing...Maybe it's just that she knows her voice THAT well, that she picks great songs and delivers...
I like Siobhan (quirky, funny!) and I like Big Mike & I think Lee is ok. However, somehow I liked their voices better when I heard them on recaps on the radio the next day. Is that the infamous autotune at work?
Crystal is amazing! I think she would do anything for her kid if she thought she could help him have a better life! As would most good parents!
Crystal's voice is just incredible, though! Regardless of her status as a mom. I can & do listen to her songs over and over again. Maybe because she has devoted her life to music, Forgoing more initially lucrative kinds of jobs. She has honed her craft...
How can you feel sorry for her? Because she has a kid? You can feel sorry for her for having a disease if you want.
But she is famous now and this is clearly what she wanted. Feel sorry for the rich and famous and you are a complete joke.
Also - she cried before the end of the performance. Why did she get away with that?

Crystal gets the attention because she has the best voice and knows who she is as a singer and artist. None of the other contestants have perfect pitch like her.
I hope they "news whore" her right out of the competition. I can't stand to watch her anymore, every week it's the same style of performance, but do they tell her to change it up? NOOOOOO. It's no secret that Simon is already pimping her career on late night televisions shows. Want to see the real Crystal, go to myspace and look at her profile and photos, where she has herself listed as "no farmers daughter". I hate to say this about any child but her poor kid looks like a crack baby. You can only clean up a druggie so much for the camera. And that smug attitude of hers that she already has it in the bag is sickening. There are other talented performers who really deserve a chance too and if the judges don't quit kissing her ass before long the really good ones will be gone. I personally don't think she is Idol material at all, and would not want my kid looking up to someone like Crystal.

I just happened onto this page and all the previous comments. Oh my God! Most of the contestants on this year's Idol shouldn't even be on the show. Idol is going down, down, down. Have you voted this year? I haven't had any trouble getting thru, not like previous years. I have to believe they are lying about the vote count they say they are getting. As for Crystal, I heard her mention why she was tried out for Idol, to make a better life for her son ONCE. Never herd her mention him again, and I've watched every week.
ADAM WAS ROBBED!!!!!! but got the last laugh he way more famous than chris who won it. I THINK CRYSTAL IS GREAT love her voice and her self confidence to turn down all the idol make overs. CRYSTAL KNOWS WHO SHE IS !!!!!
