American Idol contestant "Glitter Girl" Alexis Cohen death now called apparent homicide

Yesterday it was reported that former American Idol auditioner "Glitter Girl" Alexis Cohen was found dead.  New details are available regarding her death which is now labeled as an "apparent homicide" according to the Asbury Park Press.

Alexis Cohen was one of the unique contestants that American Idol showcases at the beginning of the season.  She became a youtube sensation for telling off American Idol judge Simon Cowell. (video) 

According to APP, Deputy Chief Michael Mohel said that Cohen's body was found dead in the road close to her car around 4:00 am on Saturday morning. She was hit by a car and suffered head, chest, and abdominal injuries.  

Mohel said anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Investigator
