Today is a big day for 'American Idol' alum Paul Jolley. Not only is the former top 9 finalist celebrating his birthday - he is also celebrating the release of his first single. 'Healed,' his powerfully redemptive new tune is now available on iTunes.

His loyal fan base (#Troopers) have created quite the social media buzz today, regarding both his birthday and the release of 'Healed.'

"@crazicoolgirl I have @pauljolleyai12's "Healed" on repeat this morning. It's such an amazing song from an equally amazing guy! I luv him!" tweeted one user.

"@iamdayanarra Go and buy @PaulJolleyAI12's "Healed" now! You won't regret buying it, I promise. #HappyBdayPaulJolley," tweeted another.

Jolley who just enjoyed a successful hometown show in Paris, TN over the weekend, couldn't be more ecstatic about 'Healed' being his kickoff single.

"I'm so excited 'Healed' is finally out there. I believe in the song and the message it sends. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do," Jolley said.

The country pop star had stated in our previous interview that 'Healed' was the clear choice. The songwriting process came together beautifully, and the song simply had that 'it factor' that all songwriters set out to achieve. 'Healed' showcases Jolley's powerhouse vocals, while also magnifying who he is as an artist...and even as a person. Jolley co-wrote the expressive tune with some of Nashville’s finest songwriters. Hit songwriter Mark Irwin (“Highway Don’t Care,” and “Redneck Crazy”, etc.) and Adam Wood helped him pen the feel-good song.

“We started talking about the ideas that were popping into our minds. As soon as “Healed” was mentioned, we took it and ran with it. We decided, that’s it,” recounts Jolley.

Fans can now get the healing song by heading on over to iTunes.
