Kellie Pickler ultimately could not have picked a better time if she tried to release her new album "100 Proof" -- we are right in the early stage of "American Idol" airing its new season, and it allows her an extra opportunity for some publicity.
On Wednesday, the country singer hit up "Good Morning America" in order to talk briefly about her new album -- and she also hit up the stage in order to perform her brand-new single "Tough" off of the album. You can check out the performance (via Mjsbigblog) to the left of this article.
As for whether or not we could see Pickler on "Idol" this season, it's certainly a possibility. The show has a tradition of promoting their past contestants, and some other stars with upcoming albums in the next several months include Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and potentially Kris Allen.
