Adam Lambert may be back on "American Idol" at some point in the future -- just don't expect it to come in the form of judging. During his Ustream / Myspace chat over the weekend, the "Whataya Want From Me" singer made one thing very clear -- the rumors of him replacing Simon on the panel are merely that:
"I keep hearing the rumor too, unfortunately it's just a rumor. I would be honored to be asked - but I think at this point I'm just focusing on my career as a recording artist."
Much of this presumed "Adam as a judge" talk began following his performance as a mentor during "Elvis week," when he was one of the few mentors in recent memory who actually dug in there and was honest and open with all of the contestants. While his honesty probably would make him a prime candidate to be a judge, it is probably in Adam's best interest realistically that he avoids the time commitment of "Idol" right now so he can focus on recording more music and visiting his fans on tour.

not disappointed at all! AI mentors & "idols" are a bunch of losers... seriously, adam deserverd sth much better than that.
Adam on stage is phenomial and people all over the world just began to see him , he has a star career to develope , to perform, to record . To be a judge on AI is easy for Adam , but there is the posibilitie to loose the credibility if is hapening something as to AI8 , better for him to help when is asked or when he has time .
Is my opinion and i want , for me , Adam on stage and with more new songs and maybe someday he come in my country in Central Europe
I think it is better for Adam to focus on his music right now. Although I agree he would be a good judge, it wouldn't be good for him to tie himself down behind the judge's table right now.
Sing Adam, Sing, sing, sing, sing. Leave judging to others....they are usually not very accurate anyway :)
Only Adam knows. It could be a negotiating statement. He is in control of his future and has only made one silly error so far.
Adam was not meant just to 'sit there'.
I never for a minute believed any of those reports. Who makes up this stuff? Anyway, it would be torturous to watch Adam sitting down talking week after week when he is meant to be performing.
Adam can be good at judging but its would be much better if he focus on his recordings and giving people musics. what's bad if adam became a judge on AI?
I AM GLAD THAT ADAM ISN'T GOING TO BE A JUDGE ON AI. HE IS CONCENTRATING ON DOING WHAT WE ALL WANT HIM TO DO----TOURING AND SINGING. IT WAS NO SURPRISE TO ALL OF THE ADAM LOVERS THAT HE WAS SINCERE AND HONEST IN HIS MENTORING. THAT IS ADAM'S WAY ! BUT, HE NEEDS TO BE FREE TO MOVE AROUND, AND SING FOR ALL OF THOSE, LIKE ME, WHO LOVE HIM.
