Adam Lambert is learning one of the cardinal rules of show business: with great success comes great opportunity for parody. Web site Barely Political (the same people who brought us Obama Girl) have created a new web video spoofing the "American Idol" runner-up and his hit single "Whataya Want From Me."
In the video, a guy who barely resembles Adam dresses up like and wanders around his house singing about various laments. The vocals are actually fairly decent, and there are plenty of surprising moments worth a laugh.
The best part about this, though, is that Adam is taking the humor all in stride. He recently posted a brief message on his Twitter about the video:
"The @barelypolitical parody is hilarious. Thanks for the laugh guys. :)"
As Adam continues on his road to fame, he can certainly expect more of these to happen -- as a matter of fact, we can all but guarantee it if he ever steps foot on "Saturday Night Live."

I thought it was really funny. The guy who did the parady did it in good humor. In there lies the difference. Some people don't know the difference between good humor and meaness. THe guy who did it knows good humor.

These parodies are very funny (Ke$ha's is hilarious). Other artists might be offended,but not Adam Lambert. He has a highly evolved and goofy sense of humour! He would appreciate the intent!
I would like to add that I think the makers of this parody were spot on by touching on the 'double-standard' issues following Adam's AMA performance. I hope people get the message!

I thought it was hysterical and loved that they poked fun at the American publics silly reaction to the AMA's! The fact that Adam can laugh at himself is just one of the many reasons I love him so much. I love Gaga too, but sometimes I think she takes her self too seriously.

Some of the video is funny. It makes some good social commentary but that's what it's all about. I wasn't rolling on the ground laughing like some seem to have been doing.
