When it comes to selling digital singles, this is a good week to be Adam Lambert. Why is that? Even though the singer may not have the top-selling song among "American Idol" alum for the week (that honor goes to Carrie Underwood), he owns both the second and third slot. Not only that but both "Whataya Want From Me" and "If I Had You" gained on their totals from last week.
According to USA Today, "Whataya Want" brought in 23,000 copies -- while this is only a slight increase of only 2% from the week before, it puts him at the grand total of 1.35 million.
In addition, "If I Had You" rose 59% this week to sell 14,000. This is the highest total the song has brought in as a single, which is a good sign for the song's potential on the Billboard Hot 100 (which will release its numbers on Thursday).

If I Had You is rising. Adam's songs seem to build momentum. It took a little while for WWFM to find its place, but it did and wow it was amazing. Now, IIHY should be catching on if radio would jump in and put it on their rotation. If it is in the top 40 on billboard and it just hit 40 on itunes then radio stations should give Adam the airplay that others seem to get right from the start. He's a nice person and a talented singer and he deserves airplay. The song is really up tempo and fun. Fans are patiently waiting trying not to bug too much.
THIS BRINGS HIS TOTAL UP 55,000 FOR IIHY,HIS IIHY IS ALSO #10 ON ITUNES....IT IS A GOOD START AND IT SHOULD BE REFLECTED ON BILLBOARD!!

I love both songs and the more I hear them the more I like them. I just wish he would put out Fever. It seems to be a favorite on Youtube. I love his entire CD...they all just get better each time I listen to them.

Adam is a wonderful singer, "If I had You" is a great song. It will be a good song on the radio. I also think "Soaked""Fever""Pick You Up" would be great choices for the radio. "Voodoo" too. Maybe "Sleepwalker". All these on several kinds of music stations.

Love the song, love the album, love the artist and every little thing about him, his music ranges from thought provoking, emotional and sensous, to just plain fun. Congrats to this amazing young man on his success and wishes out to him for it continuing to soar.
I saw him also at Mystic. Oh my God!!! What a doll. This guy is so sexual. Whether dancing or singing or just walking. I am thrilled that his career is taking off. I wish him all the love and success he really deserves. I think most of us "glamberts" knew all along that it would come to him.
And by the way all of the reviews with a couple of lame exceptions have just raved about his voice and performances. How could he not take the world by storm? If you like really raw talent and he is coming to your town DON'T miss his concert. His voice is so amazing in person. Better than any one I have ever heard.

I just love Adam and hearing his songs live!!!!Huuuuhhhhh. I saw Adam perform in Baltimore on Sunday and I have NEVER in all my life had such fun. He had the whole audience dancing and singing IIHY. As beautiful as his vocals are on the CD...LIVE IS BETTER....I don't know anyone else who can do it better.
I saw Adam live 2 times for his Glamnation tour----I wish it was 20 times!!!!! If anyone reading this has a chance to get tickets to one of his shows, GET THEM. Your info is behind as usual. What is it about you? Adams album in the U.S. alone has been platinum for months now. Why are you so negative about him? it's almost as if you're waiting to see him fail. Adam is going to be iconic, how many idols have risen as far as he has in such a short time. The contest is over, I'm sick of hearing about comparisons with other former contestants. Adam was too good for idol, he's just out the gate, his C.D. is fantastic. By the way,when was the last time we heard of Susan Boyle,it's been a while I think.
Janet chill. Adam's album has only reached gold so far in the US . Which I think is great and I feel he will reach platinum. I don't see anything negative in this article. Matt is on Adam's side and does a great job on this blog. I do think IIHY will be a success, just like WWFM and the sales has moved it up into the billboard top 100.
