As many Adam Lambert fans know, the "American Idol" singer's Glam Nation performances are more than just a few stand-alone performances from the singer alone. He has the support of a band, hard-working dancers, and a visual effects and road team in order to make every concert work.

In an excellent new chat with RockStar Weekly, Adam's guitarist and musical director Monte Pittman opened up about what exactly it is that he does during the concerts:

"You're in charge of the music and everything that's going on ... it's not like I go in and say 'okay, we're going to play this.' Everybody has their opinion, and that's what kind of makes the magic of the show is that you have everyone's input -- from every one of the dancers to every one of the musicians."

As for if he plans to work with Adam again on the next album, Monte was again optimistic:

"I hope so, we're going to get together and do a bunch of writing. I have stuff to submit to him -- it's his decision, and I guess everybody who's in that realm of putting out the next album, there's a lot of decisions that go into that ... I'm confident that we're going to come up with something really cool."

To hear more of Monte's thoughts (including his work with the wonderful organization Little Kids Rock), all you have to do is watch below (if the video does not load, head to this link).

What I think is Monte Pittman rocks! He's been around a long time, but just now getting to know who he is and how very talented he is. Not sure he would be so well known now if not for AL and his pride in his band and dancers. Personally, I think Monte up there with the best. Hope he stays a long time with Adam.
