Like everyone else, "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert is feeling the effect of Iceland's volcano. Ash from the eruption has stalled a number of performers around the world -- from Miley Cyrus to John Cleese -- and now Adam is ironically seeing some of his plans for a European TV and radio press tour go up in smoke.
In a new post on Adam's Twitter page, the "Whataya Want From Me" single elaborates:
"Hey guys!! :) prepping for big UK and Europe trip! ... volcano kept us from leaving this past Sunday... But looks like we are all set now."
Originally, Adam had declined participation in Wednesday night's "Idol Gives Back" charity special because of the tour -- due to an extremely busy schedule (which includes shooting a music video next month for next single "If I Had You"), it is not likely that Adam will be able to add extra time onto his press circuit now that is has been taken away. Instead, he will have to find a way to promote the international edition of "For Your Entertainment" in a slightly shorter period of time.
Are you surprised that the volcano is still having such a huge impact on performers? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more "American Idol" news. To view recent photos of Adam, all you have to do is follow the link here.
