More good news for fans of Adam Lambert -- the "American Idol" singer is still delivering some big sales numbers across the board. In the newest album data courtesy of USA Today, Adam's "For Your Entertainment" sold an additional 5,000 copies in the past week, marking a decline of 5% from the week before. This puts the total number for the album at 681.000, getting it ever closer to the 700,000 threshold.
If you look at this from a big-picture perspective, you'll see that Adam's sales numbers have not fluctuated down too much over the course of the past few months. Although there has been a small (albeit natural) decline simply because the album has been out since September, it has consistently stayed between 5,000-7,500 over the past several weeks.
Adam is one of only three "American Idol" artists on the Billboard 200 this week, joining the recently-married Carrie Underwood and Daughtry (who just released a collection of B-sides).

Yes, a slight correction: Adam's CD has been out since November not September.
When did RCA announce this? He hasn't even toured Europe yet and he's already over a million worldwide?
Leslie --- Adam Lambert did a worldwide promotional tour in Europe, Australia and Asia last March. His song Whataya Want From Me has reached #1 in several countries and top ten status in several others. His CD IS selling internationally and will sell even more when he tours his current show in the Fall.
So proud of Adam! I've bought every version of FYE that has been made available for me to buy. If more were being released I'd buy them too. I've already been to 2 awesome, sold out Glam Nation Tour shows and plan to attend at least 2 more (if I can get tickets)....requesting IIHY and WWFM on the radio, watching IIHY move up the charts, voting for IIHY video on VH1 and seeing it land at #1 for 2 weeks in a row thus far...it's a party every day in Adam fandom!! Looking forward to Adam getting some rest when this tour wraps up, making some appearances (and hopefully nominations and wins) on the music awards shows coming up in the late Fall AND Adam to begin working on his 2nd album beginning of 2011! Love him!!! I attribute Adam's consistency on the sales and spins charts to 3 things: 1) his phenomenal talent, 2) his album is full of excellent music & 3)he himself - Adam is kind, charismatic, generous, humble he treats his fans w/ respect and love and he works SO VERY HARD at his craft.

Adam's FYE officially sold One Million albums World Wide. I can hardly wait - his tour comes to OC in 2 weeks. Sold out both days total for 17,000 seats. I hope he is here every summer at Pacific Amphitheatre and come to Honda Center too - very close to LA and nicer area than Staples Center.

I always enjoy your articles about Adam. You are so supportive, and yet objective. One correction...The album was released at the end of November, not in September! AO has ammounced that the album, For Your Entertainment, has now sold 1,000,000+ copies World Wide! Congratulations Adam!
"For Your Entertainment" was released in September. And I'm very happy for him and his 1,000,000 milestone! It'll have to reach 1,000,000 in the US to get certified platinum, so I'd give it until maybe February 2011 before it reaches that level.

Congrats Adam!!!!! His album is soooo good. "If I Had You" and "Sleepwalker" are my favorites on the album.
