The American Idol Tour 2009 is now finished, with the first albums from Kris Allen and Adam Lambert on the way in November.
More great footage from the road today, this time from this weekend's tour stop in Syracuse, New York.
Here's Adam Lambert's opener, the Led Zeppelin classic "Whole Lotta Love."
Even though Lambert's voice and style tends towards the theatrical, it's nice to see him belt out a rock classic. You can tell from his opening pyro and crowd reaction he's the star of the show.
One of his regular crowd favorites is "Mad World," you can hear here how the crowd is singing right along with him.
Thanks to Suz526 for posting these videos, some excellent camera work there. It's somewhat fitting Adam Lambert has taken a song that's not a classic by any stretch of the imagination, done a cover based around a version from a cult movie, and made that song one that people associate with him.
I actually preferred his version of "Tracks of my Tears," but it seems I'm outvoted on this one.
For more of Adam Lambert on tour, check out his performances of "Starlight" in New Jersey, two versions of him doing "Mad World," and him performing "Whole Lotta Love" in Columbus, Ohio.
