Adam Lambert may be spending his second week in a row off of the top 40 radio charts, but all early indications right now suggest that he is on his way back sooner rather than later with new song "If I Had You." According to latest Mediabase numbers (which track airplay across specific radio formats), the "American Idol" runner-up more than triples his airplay in the past week as compared to the week before.
Just in top 40 radio alone (which is only a sampling of stations that could play Adam's music), "If I Had You" is ranked #60 on the list -- this is an increase of nine spots and over 200 spins from the week before (he is now sitting at 310 for the past week).
Adam Lambert is also at #105 on the list with "For Your Entertainment," even though that is not a song he is actively promoting a single (even though it may be in Europe). Winner Kris Allen is also in the top 100, but surprisingly for his remake of Kanye West's "Heartless" over new single "The Truth."
Do you think Adam Lambert will enter the top 40 with his new song sometime over the next few weeks? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more "American Idol" news. To view recent photos of Adam, follow the link here.
