Adam Lambert and Kris Allen still haven't reached the top spot on the "American Idol" airplay chart, but one of them is certainly getting closer. Allen's "Live Like We're Dying" pushed past 9,000 spins for the first time last week, and is now sitting less than 2,300 behind Kelly Clarkson's ballad "Already Gone" (which is starting to slowly decline) at #1. If Allen manages to continue his upward movement (which could receive a boost this week thanks to him performing on Thursday's "Idol" results show), he could reach the pinnacle in a few weeks.
Adam Lambert, meanwhile, gained about 800 more spins for "Whataya Want From Me" to put it at 5,809 for the week. While last season's runner-up doesn't have a major TV appearance to fall back on this week, he could still get some support thanks to frequent song requests and a performance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" March 2. (However, he will be performing "Music Again" rather than his current single.)

I'm sure they will continue to climb. No reason why not. They are two good songs.
Adam all the way, there is no comparison between the two. Although Kris is good (average), Adam is spectular and should have alot more air play then they are giving him. He also has the potential for at least 4 more hits songs on his CD that they don't play at all yet
They keep playing the same Kris Allen song over, and over again. If they have to keep pushing Kris for appearance sake because he is the 'winner' of that corrupt show, couldn't they at least play a different song. I wouldn't mind hearing 'Falling Slowly'. How ironic that 'AI' finally discovers a superstar, but spends so much energy trying to keep him down to make Kris look good. Hopefully it will change when someone else
wins' the tarnished crown.
I don't think these comparisons should continue. I don't really know any Kris fans, though I accept that there are some. I am an Adam fan all the way and I don't think I would even notice of Kris Allen's song came on the radio. The fact that the stations are afraid of Adam's music for some reason doesn't mean that his music is less popular. If they could track the number of times we listen to Adam on our iPods, his numbers would be through the stratosphere.
I am anxious to hear Allison but AI is trying to hard to make Kris Allen look good...stop the compition between him and Adam, cause Kris cannot hold a candle to Adam....I have not seen but one video of Kris and Adam has 3 out and so what if Kris went to Haiti, does anyone tell what Adam has been doing...His picture and Ellen's underwear brought 8500 dollars, what has Kris spent on charity...Last year Adam ask his fans to donate to his school charity and got 250,000 dollars...I say that is the man that is doing something for other people....I don't watch idol this year anyway, unless Allison is on or Adam....Just don't care for Kris's type of music...Kris was #7 on vh1, and Adam is #1 the last 2 weeks.....
Who cares if they haven't reached the Ai charts...Adam has a gold in the U.S. and Canada....Don't compare Kris with Kelly Clarkson she is amazing.....

Kris will make a good living,especially in the country music category. Adam will be more worldwide. MTV & VH1 seem to be promoting him to Russia,China & Asia and more to come. When his album is available worldwide just wait to see the #'s. It went gold in 8 weeks in the U S & Canada.I can't wait to see the sales in Brazil ,since many of the posts I read are in Portughese.
Go Kris! Why push for another single when the first one is still going strong? Live Like We're Dying should go platinum in a few weeks.
Own all the members of of Kradison's albums and enjoy all 3. I wish them all success. I want to see them perform live and put out more music. Not going to compare them and make claims who is better, i am done with that game.

Adam's album is spectacular. I am amazed that it is not on the radio more often. They are deliberately keeping him down. Kris' song is ok. I just really think Adam's album is fantastic!
I don't know how long TPTB would keep the PUSH Kris and HOLD down Adam scenario to legitimize the Kris' win. Is it until the finale of AI9 yet? They cannot change their anomalous voting system which gets anomalous result so they have to carry on. Well, it's good enough only for those who are blind.
Lots of unhappy fans. I love Kris but I like Adam too. Kris only has one single out because it's doing pretty well. Adam has had 3 songs because: Time For Miracles was a movie song and it didn't do that well overall, and For Your Entertainment didn't seem to catch on. I love Whataya Want From Me and I'm glad it's doing well.

I think it is awful for Kris to go to Haiti for a photo shoot. Those people are suffering and he goes there for a few hours for publicity. My housekeeper's mother is there and everything was staged for him. People there did not know who he is. Kris is desperate for attention but he should not use this tragedy for his gain.
I don't know why people say you can't be honest about Kris because he is Adam's friend. He is not a good singer and if you think he is you need to take and ear training class. If he was Adam's friend why did his state cheat Adam out of the win? I won't watch American Idol because it is now a power texting contest. Even Simon quit because of what they did to Adam.

Adam's fans know that it was not America that voted for Kris but one small state with the help of AT&T. Look at the difference in traffic to their fan sites from the four biggest states. Adam has more fan traffic from every state but Arkansas.

Okay, I hate to do this, but I feel compelled to report something I saw on "E" last night. Americon Idol head honcho being interviewed, mostly to do w/ a few mini-scandals in regards to this new AI9 Season, and then he goes to say something about past winners and literally goes "ah...ah...um" and the interviewer has to say "Kris Allen..." I was mortified. For the record, I think Kris Allen is great, think Lambert has "it" but I do like Kris Allen too very much... but this "E" interview incident was, I don't know, sort of telling I think. Don't trust me if you don't want to, go see if video can be found on E Online. Saw this with my own eyes 7pm EST ...sort of expected to see it on the blogoshpere today actually, it was that embarrassing to AI. Instead what I see on the blogosphere is rubbish about Susan Boyle & Lambert, sorry don't buy it, British press historically known for not letting a little thing like the truth get in the way of sales. Anyway, check the "E" clip out yourselves.

Both of them are talented, on their own way. They shouldn't be compared to each other cuz they're in different genre. Both has different goal. Kris allen wants to make music, so as Adam. Adam loves all the spotlight, Kris loves being low profile. People has right to choose for what they wanted, not people want them to be what they are not! It's kinda sick that people goes according to how popular is that particular artist is. Sometimes, or nowadays, most all the artist talents is overshadowed by their popularity. And to Vicki, do you think that Kris would just take photo and shows that he has helped people? Artist or singer are meant to inspire people. Not by just taking money and give it to them, means they already contribute to the community? No. They can do it in various way. Kris wanted to do it that way and who knows? He might inspired people at Haiti indirectly. You wouldn't know. It is kinda saddening that people contribute but weren't be appreciated.
Kris' "Live Like You're Dying" is closer to the top spot than Adam's song is, but guess whose picture is on huge display? Why is that?
