One night after he wowed audiences with a performance of "Whataya Want From Me" on "American Idol," Adam Lambert is holding strong on the Billboard Hot 100. Even though his current single "Whataya Want From Me" has been on the charts for 17 weeks, it managed to make it through another week without sliding. Adam's track is at #23, the same position it found itself seven days ago.
What is significant about this? It shows that Adam is privy to receive a rather large boost in sales thanks to his "Idol" performance on Wednesday night's results show (which you can see below) -- considering that nearly 20 million people tune in to the show on a regular basis, that are a number of new potential customers in there. The fact that he was trending on Twitter for much of yesterday also shows that people were talking about his performance both before and after he took the stage.
Meanwhile, reigning "American Idol" champ Kris Allen slipped down to #30 this week with "Live Like We're Dying." While that sort of decline will happen to Adam eventually, here's to hoping he has a few more good weeks left with his hit song.
Are you happy that Adam has found such a long shelf life with "Whataya Want From Me?" Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more TV news. (To view recent "American Idol" photos, follow the link here.)

Absolutely. And after last night's performance, I love this song even more. Every time he performs, it's like you're hearing the song for the first time--never the same thing twice. I so enjoy the way he changes up his performances. Such a talented singer (amazing range).
So happy Adam is an amazing performer and was one of their best mentors. Not only can he sing but he is eloquent and charming in every interview.

Very pleased. His numbers should bump up next week due to his incredible performance last night on Idol.
I'm a die-hard Adam fan and have seen all of his television and YT performances of everything he's ever done (I still haven't seen him live but am ready with credit card in hand to buy my tickets to his US tour this summer). But that performance last night BLEW ME AWAY! It was sexual, spiritual, mesmerizing. I was transfixed, entranced, hypnotized with my mouth hanging open. I had to remind myself to breathe. Afterwards my veins coursed with adrenaline for hours. I immediately began rewatching it on YT over and over and over again. Even today I don't feel fully recovered and don't wanna be. I love Adam...he is something special like this world has never experienced before.

That was incredible. He finds something new to do every time. It's never the same twice. That was like taking a trip to the moon on a rocketship on a wave of green neon space dust. Crazy. Adam's inspiring and crazy, in a good way. But I think it's time for him to rest his voice for awhile. He's been doing TOO much... he's getting a tad hoarse!
I have always been a fan of Adam Lambert since the time I heard him sing in AI. Adam is such a great star and I hope people will sit up and notice!
Adam was ugly as usual
