'American Idol:' Adam Lambert hits up Japanese TV show (video)

There are some things that we here in America find ridiculously entertaining even though we often don't know why -- take for instance the Japanese TV show. We see people yelling in obnoxious voices, staring at bright colors, and playing silly games -- heck, ABC even made a show all about Americans going over to compete.

Therefore, seeing "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert hit up a Japanese program is definitely worth a few laughs. In the brief video below, Adam walks on stage to hit "For Your Entertainment" while he waves and smiles for the camera. In all honesty he looks a little confused and understandably so, as there isn't any sort of translator accompanying him.

However, these sort of foreign appearances are a way of life for many of music's biggest stars. American pop music is a major trend in Japan, where Westernized culture has seen an increasing influence over the course of the past 100 years. Many Hollywood celebrities film commercials there for extra money, or in Adam's case appear simply in order to expand his fan base.

What do you think of Adam's appearance on the Japanese show: funny stuff? Feel free to share your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more "American Idol" news.
