Now that Adam Lambert has appeared at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, he is apparently working on spreading his brand internationally. The "American Idol" runner-up arrived in Toronto on Sunday night, and if recent photos are any indication he wasn't exactly trying to make a big splash. He literally has a hoodie zipped up so far that you can barely see his face.
As for the reason for the visit, Adam told Access Hollywood that he's "doing a lot of international press now, just trying to get the album out worldwide, which is so exciting." He will be appearing on Canadian music channel MuchMusic and will also be making a few promotional appearances.
Back in the States, Adam has already made an attempt to spread his name across television. He made headlines at the American Music Awards and has since appeared on "The View," "Oprah," and "The Late Show with David Letterman." His current single "Whataya Want From Me" is making its way up the airplay charts, but it still has a little bit to go before it will catch "Idol" winner Kris Allen's "Live Like We're Dying."

Yes, it has a little way to go before it reaches Kris Allen's CD....but don't forget that WWFM hasn't been out nearly as long! Allen's CD has had a couple of months more airplay than ' has.
Also, WWFM is Adam's second single. You can't compare it's sales or chart ratings to Kris' first single which has been out since November!!! Come on guys...be fair!!!
It's all about the album sales at the end of the day. Adam is approaching Gold status with a 2:1 ratio against Kris Allen's album. People want all of Adam's songs not like Kris who in my opinion, has only one great song on the album, his single. The reason why Adam's single has yet to approach Allen is because people are buying all his songs, which include the single so why the stand alone single ??
Not sure why Kris Allen's name made it's way into the article. But to set the record straight Allen's single has been out for 4 months Adam's one month. Allen & Adam's CD released a week apart and Allen has a long way to go to catch Adam.

Hate to repeat what others say but it is not a true representation of the success of Adam's CD compared to Kris's. Adam's first single was swept under the rug due to the insane reaction to his AMA performance. Total sales of the CD are far beyond Kris Allen's total sales. I wish these comparisons would go away. Adam and Kris both deserve to be congratulated on their efforts and both should have successful careers. BUT I DO LOVE ADAM!!!
Adam's 30-minute radio interview in Toronto (Q on CBC) was, as usual, articulate and intelligent, true to who he is and so entertaining. The station played "Whataya want from me" and "Soaked". A great 30 minutes here in Toronto this AM!!

It's a shame Adam's first single "For Your Entertainment" was "swept under the rug" as Lisa put it so perfectly. I'm still questioning why Adam keeps telling everyone if he had the AMA's to do over again, he'd do everything the same, yet his management or record company subsequently opted to pretend the song no longer exists. It literally disappeared and has been ignored in favor of promoted his second single. What a waste. Or maybe bad management? Too bad. I think they should have stayed on track and continued to promote it instead of shying away from the controversy.
Let's not forget that Adam's cd way outsells Kris Allen's cd. WWFM is Adam's second single out and is climbing up the charts this week. Adam rocks and his whole cd is fantastic!!!

Iggy - if you think so, then I suggest you just not get close to him. The only word that comes anywhere close to describing him in person is stunning - and that's at hugging distance. His photos, as good as they are, do not actually do him justice. My opinion of course, you are entitled to yours.

You bet he has international appeal. Adam is mesmerizing and I would love to have him come to Washington D.C.! Not sure why people feel it necessary to compare Adam to Kris, that's like comparing apples to oranges. The majority of Kris's fans don't care for Adam's music and vice versa. However, I think Adam's future is much brighter, he is so multi-talented and his music appeals to such a wide range of listeners. Kris is more one-dimensional. Good luck to both but, it's Adam I will listen to, over and over and over again.
Would love for Adam to come to Houston or The Woodlands, Texas..MTV is the only station that play Adam's video compare to VH1 for 8 days only...no wonder why Kris Allen is 1st place with a song that is bland and no excitement like Adam's songs. I do wish Kris luck in his career and Adam twitter on a job well done to Kris, his friend. I agree with the others that compare to CD sales Kris cannot compete. I know Adam will do very good on international because he is already accepted..people on the other side of the world think nothing about his performance at the AMA and don't understand what all the fuss is all about? Denise, you are totally clueless! Go watch American Idol 2009 and come back to this site again! Adam is the most interesting and exciting thing to have happened. Steven Speilberg called him his 'hero', Lady Gaga and Pink gave him their songs, industry greats want to write songs for him, he's been on almost all the talk shows including Oprah, he is now the celebrity of the celebrities... the credits he got under his belt are long. The things n recognition he achieved in 1 year's work (last yr) one can only dream but will never be his/her reality! Pls throw your assumptions out the window and open yr mouth again after u have done some research!
