The good people in Finland are yet again showing their love for Adam Lambert. According to some of the newest numbers, the former "American Idol" star is yet again at the top of the charts in the country with his song "Aftermath" -- a song that could very well be a success here in the States if it was ever released as a single.
Most of the other names on the country's chart are not ones that anyone here in America would be familiar with, outside of two notable exceptions. Shakira is sitting currently at #8 with "Loca," while Lady Gaga and her megahit "Alejandro" is down at #10.
Just to show exactly how successful Adam has been in Finland so far in his career, his concert in Helsinki sold out in minutes and had one of the longest lines imaginable outside the concert hall. Not only that, but a number of his songs have found supreme success there in the country.
Why do you think Adam is so popular in this country?

I don't know why but Thank God for Finland!!! So happy to see Adam doing so well all over the world. He is growing by leaps and bounds and he deserves it!
Love Finland because the people are so wonderfully open and accepting. They obviously have impeccable taste as well! He's ahead of big names like Gaga and Shakira...happy to hear the news. I hope the U.S. shows more and more support for Adam who is so deserving. Thank you for this uplifting news and article.
I'm not sure why. My friends son spent a year as an exchange student in Finland and from what I gather the culture is known for being reserved. But that's kind of hard to believe because of the way they embrace Adam. I spent a little time in Finland and loved it but I was only a tourist. It's not just Finland though, Australia, New Zealand and lots of other countries are showing him love. It's good to see. I remember watching his video "it gets better" on YouTube and seeing all the hate comments and all the hate comments posted about him on articles in the U.S. He's been nothing but kind to those around him and supports his friends and family and is constantly praising other artists. I found it ironic that even on a video that he is talking about bullying comments the neanderthals still do it. Even on a video meant to help teens. The disgusting part is a lot of these comments are made by grown adults with children his age.
OMG!! I am soooo excited and happy for Adam!! I am thrilled that he is doing so well all over the world !! He deserves all this and so much more! He is such a wonderful, kind, compassionate, accepting human being.
I live in Alberta, Canada. Was very happy to see that the Province of Alberta has declared November 14 - 20 anty-bullying week and now has a website "Bully Free Alberta".
This website helps parents, teens and community members take control of this issue by giving them the tools they need to prevent or intervene in a bullying situation. There is also information on homophobic and cyber bullying.
As always, thank you for the good news. I am not surprised but very happy and appreciative of glamberts all over the glob supporting Adam. Yay Finland.
