"American Idol" 2014 resumes Feb. 26 on FOX with the top 13 performance show. According to betting odds posted to Bovada Sportsbook just hours before the "This is Me" themed live show was scheduled to begin, two guys are tied with the best chance of taking the title, while a girl is the biggest long shot of all.
Favored to win season 13 with 4/1 odds are 20-year old Alex Preston of Mont Vernon, N.H. and Bradenton, Fla. native Sam Woolf. A pair of ladies, San Francisco's M.K. Nobillette and former preschool teacher Majesty York, follow with 7/1 odds of their own.
Ranked fifth with 9/1 odds of victory are yet another pair of hopefuls in teen Emily Piriz, who wowed judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr. with her take on Jessie J's "Mamma Knows Best" during the Atlanta auditions, and "AI" veteran Caleb Johnson, who finally made the live shows after several attempts.
Seventh place belongs to both 24-year old Ben Briley and judges' wild card selection CJ Harris, who enter the show with 10/1 odds of winning. Three ladies follow in a three-way tie for ninth place with 12/1 odds. Included in the ranks are Jena Irene Asciutto, Jess Meuse and competition youngster Malaya Watson.
Alone in twelfth place with 14/1 odds of victory is Fayette, Ala. farmhand Dexter Roberts, while Kristen O'Connor, whose take on "Unconditionally" earned a wild card pick, is the pre-live show long shot with unenviable 33/1 odds.
Although song spoilers are limited entering the top 13 show, The Idol Pad revealed on Feb. 26 that Watson will sing Bruno Mars' "Runaway Baby" and Asciutto will perform "The Scientist" by Coldplay.
