"American Idol" 2014 resumes March 19 on FOX as the top 10 hopefuls hit the stage live to sing a collection of recent top 10 hits. Information pertaining to the show came in vast quantity just hours before the broadcast, as Bovada Sportsbook updated the season 13 betting odds, and The Idol Pad leaked the evening's song spoilers.
Favored to win the competition with 13/4 odds as of the March 19 live show is aspiring country crooner Dexter Roberts, who is slated to perform Florida Georgia Line's anthem "Cruise." To date, Roberts has turned in a succession of strong, crowd-pleasing country tunes, including his takes on Montgomery Gentry's "Lucky Man" and the classic "Sweet Home Alabama."
A pair of guys are tied for second place with 4/1 odds of winning season 13. While Alex Preston is scheduled to sing One Direction's mega hit "Story of My Life," rocker-in-the-making Caleb Johnson will channel Lady Gaga with his take on "The Edge of Glory."
Ranked fourth with 11/2 odds is teen Jena Irene Asciutto, who will tackle Zedd's "Clarity," while fifth-place Sam Woolf, the previous Vegas favorite, holds 7/1 odds and will sing "We Are Young" by Fun and Janelle Monae.
C.J. Harris, who is slated to sing the recent Hunter Hayes high school anthem "Invisible," is rated sixth with 8/1 odds. Just behind Harris in the seven spot with 9/1 odds of victory is Majesty Rose, who will perform the Avicii and Aloe Blacc collaboration "Wake Me Up," while eighth-rated Jessica Meuse holds 10/1 odds and will sing "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People.
A pair of girls rounds out the bottom of the chart. The vivacious Malaya Watson holds second-worst 20/1 odds, while M.K. Nobilette of San Francisco is the definitive competition long shot with 50/1 odds of her own. While Watson is scheduled to sing Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man," Nobilette will tackle Pink's "Perfect."
