"American Idol" 2013 resumes March 20 with the top nine performance show, and according to a tweet from Idol Insider, Angie Miller, Burnell Taylor and the rest of the remaining competitors will deliver iconic songs by The Beatles. Although the contestants can't share their song selections in advance of the live show, one clever finalist tweeted an excellent hint to followers, and a fan site spoiled a possible list of tunes.
The March 20 tweet by Candice Glover, who earned one of the top three spots following the March 12 viewer vote with a powerful rendition of "I Who Have Nothing," read "The hint is: a sponsor of the show is in my song." The logical pick is the well-known "Come Together," which notably references Coca-Cola, one of the reality singing competition's three sponsors.
A list of supposed song spoilers posted March 20 by The Idol Pad confirms Glover's pick, and also names the tunes allegedly assigned to the other eight hopefuls. According to the list, Lazaro Arbos will perform "In My Life," Miller will take on "Yesterday," Amber Holcomb will sing "She's Leaving Home," Kree Harrison will perform "With a Little Help From My Friends," Paul Jolley will croon "Eleanor Rigby," Janelle Arthur will tackle "I Will," Taylor will perform "Let It Be," and Devin Velez will sing "The Long and Winding Road."
The finalists tweeted feelings of nervousness and excitement in the hours leading up to the live show. Arbos likely summed up the thought of many by writing "I love you guys so much hope you all enjoy the show: ) y'all are the reason why I do this :) #lazis."
The "American Idol" 2013 top nine performance show airs March 20 on FOX.
