The "American Idol' 2013 top 10 performance show aired March 13 on FOX, and for the second week running, Mass. native Angie Miller proved that she's in it to win it, this time with a stunning rendition of a Celine Dion hit.
During Miller's pre-performance mentoring session with Jimmy Iovine, the pretty 18-year old was puzzled when he cautioned her against going into "beauty pageant" mode while performing, but vowed to be more self-aware.
Miller went on to share that she'd chosen Dion's "I Surrender" for her top 10 show performance, noting that "AI" season one champion Kelly Clarkson had done a beautiful job with it. She hoped she could bring an equal level of passion to her own rendition.
When she hit the stage to sing live, Miller looked stunning in a short black dress and heels. She delivered a powerful, passionate and nearly perfect final product that drew rave reviews from the judging panel.
Keith Urban called her "such an artist" and marveled over her vocal range before telling her that she'd "knocked it out of the park." Nicki Minaj heaped praises on Miller, telling her that she looked "like a billion dollars" and that her voice was "flawless." Randy Jackson declared that the competition had finally started for him and that he "loved every part of it." Mariah Carey simply smiled and said "stellar."
To see if Angie Miller advances safely to the top nine, watch the "American Idol" 2013 top 10 results show March 14 on FOX.
