"American Idol" introduces many young singers and their stories to the viewers but a lot of them simply don't make it very far in the competition. To see which idols will make it all the way to the top 40 scroll down and view the list of spoilers but if you would rather be surprised please do not read any further.
The singers seen in the North Carolina episode that are still in the competition are listed below. All of the other singers featured in the third episode have been cut.
Janelle Arthur is a 22-year-old from Oliver Springs, Tenn. Janelle sang "Where the Blacktop Ends" and all four of the judges sent her through to Hollywood. Keith Urban was all smiles when this pretty, young redhead walked in. It even looked like he was attracted to her. Nicole Kidman better keep a close eye on Keith when Janelle Arthur is around.
Jimmy Smith is a 25-year-old guy from Waynesboro, Tenn. He auditioned online for season 12 and producers brought him in. Jimmy auditioned with “God Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts and all 4 judges sent him through to Hollywood.
Candice Glover is a 22-year-old from St. Helena Island, S.C. She was cut last year in Las Vegas even though she performed well. Candace sang “Sweet Enough” for her audition and the judges loved her voice.
The judges will be visiting Baton Rouge, La., in search of more talent tomorrow. That episode of "American Idol" will air Jan. 24, 2013, on FOX channel WAWS 30 in Jacksonville, Fla. Keep checking back here at Examiner for more spoilers throughout the week.
