'American Idol' 2012 reject Magic Cyclops -- begging for money?

There are a number of ways you can try to capitalize on your fame in this day and age -- but taking to the street and begging for cash is certainly a new one.

According to TMZ, the man who goes by Magic Cyclops is recovering from his botched "American Idol" audition in Aspen by begging for money on the side of the road -- and he even has a sign reminding everyone that he didn't get his golden ticket. In reality, the guy isn't actually homeless -- but he's doing this because he found out that panhandlers can make a crazy amount of money.

Of course, Cyclops probably really is doing this just for the attention more than anything else -- as we previously wrote, he works in real life as a rock-themed comedy act who was brought it by show producers for some silliness simply because they wanted to liven up the auditions.
