'American Idol' 2012: Lauren Gray, Neco Starr among those turned away

While there were many success stories on "American Idol" this season, there were also a number of people who unfortunately did not end up making the cut -- and this is where some of the most difficult eliminations happen.

Here are some of the people who ended up getting turned away this year:

  • Lauren Gray - She was the standout of the St. Louis auditions.
  • Neco Starr - Neco looks a bit like Bruno Mars, but that wasn't enough.
  • Clayton Farhat - We barely ended up seeing Cayton.
  • River St. James - You can say the same here.
  • Caleb Johnson - We really feel bad for Caleb, who made it all the way to this stage before forgetting the words.
  • Richie Law - Heejun Han's adversary is gone for the season.

Are you sad about some of these omissions?
