While most people away from the indie scene really had no idea who Jane Carrey was before this past weekend, they are far more familiar now -- and it's all thanks to "American Idol."
In a new series of photos, you can see Jane spending some time with her famous father Jim on the set of "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone." Jane had said on the show that one of her goals was to step out of her father's shadow, and she did that with a strong rendition of "Something To Talk About."
The real question for Jane is just whether or not her raw singing talent will be enough to get her far. As a writer and musician, she is definitely great -- but "Idol" tends to just favor big voices above all else.
