We just wrapped up the "American Idol" auditions -- but some more storiesare still starting to spread about some of the contestants and what we saw of their stories on TV.
The newest target here? Ethan Jones -- the contestant during the St. Louis auditions whose father had a story of struggle and addiction. Jones spoke about his father leaving the band that the two had former to enter rehab, and the way the show presented it suggested that Jones was still in a treatment center.
Was this really the case? Not entirely. Speaking to TMZ, Jones' father Todd said that he was at a funeral, and was already out of rehab for the audition.
Does this diminish the story? Not really, but it does show how some stories are manipulated a bit for impact.
