Green Day's "American Idiot" Broadway musical is coming to Boston for five shows during the weekend of Feb. 7 - Feb. 9, 2014 at the Boston Opera House. You can still get tickets through Ticketmaster. They will also perform in western Mass. in Amherst at the UMass Concert Hall on Feb. 4, 2014. You can get tickets here. Although Green Day will not be performing, the music was written by the band and the lyrics were written by the lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong. Billie Joe has also played a role in the musical in past years.

The "American Idiot" musical features songs from the album of the same name as well as other songs from their previous records. These include such hits as "Wake Me Up When September Ends", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", and "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)". This avid, long-term fan is curious how one of her favorite band's music is transformed into a play.

This is a Tony and Grammy winning musical, so it is a must see. If you don't catch it in Boston, there are other chances! For more information, check out the musical's official website, like the Facebook page, and follow the Twitter account.
