'American Hustle,' 'Dallas Buyers Club' are top movie winners at 2014 SAG Awards

"American Hustle" and "Dallas Buyers Club" were the top winners in the movie categories for the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Jan. 18, 2014. TNT and TBS had the live telecast of the show in the United States. A live stream of the SAG Awards could also be viewed online through the TBS and TNT websites, as well as through the Watch TBS and Watch TNT apps for iOS or Android.

"American Hustle" took the the top SAG movie prize: Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

"Dallas Buyers Club" won two SAG Awards: Matthew McConaughey took home the prize for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, while his "Dallas Buyers Club" co-star Jared Leto won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

"12 Years a Slave," which had the most movie nominations (four) at the show, ended up winning one SAG Award: Lupita Nyong'o received the prize for Outstanding Performance by an Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

Meanwhile, Cate Blanchett of "Blue Jasmine" won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role

"Lee Daniels' The Butler" and "August: Osage County," which had three nominations each, failed to win any SAG Awards.

In the TV field, "Breaking Bad" was the top contender (with four nominations) and won two prizes: Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, while Bryan Cranston won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. "Modern Family" also won two SAG Awards: Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, while Ty Burrell won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

As previously announced, Rita Moreno received the Life Achievement Award.
