'American Horror Story' season 3 subtitle revealed: Season 3 spoilers

Fans have been impatiently waiting any and all confirmed information about season three of "American Horror Story," despite the fact that the series won't air until this fall. Finally, Huffington Post shares on March 16 some information right from the co-creator, Ryan Murphy's, mouth. While sitting on the panel at PaleyFest with some of the cast members of season two of the show, Murphy reveals that "American Horror Story" will be subtitled "Coven" for the third season.

As many fans now know, most of the cast from seasons one and two will be returning for the third season, with a few extra cast members such as the always spooky, Kathy Bates. Fans do not know exactly who Bates will be playing, however, Ryan Murphy as revealed that she (the character) once was a real live person.

Jessica Lange, a long time friend of Kathy Bates, and series regular, was already told that she would be playing a part of "glamour cat" which she readily admits that she has no idea what that means.

Creators of the series are excited about this season because some of the filming will be taking place in New Orleans unlike previous seasons which were largely filmed on a sound stage. He says that it is important because the locale of the series is often a character in itself. Speaking on future seasons, Ryan says that he has a couple other locales that are real "doozies" and also mentions that he would love to do a season on vampires, or perhaps even a companion piece.

The biggest spoiler that Murphy shared with fans eagerly wanting more information about the season is that there will be several episodes and scenes where Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates will go at each other, implying that the two are at polar opposites of the character spectrum.
