'American Horror Story' season 3 posters are cool but fake (Photos)

There has been a lot of talk since season two of "American Horror Story" ended about what the third season will be about. Someone has even gone to great lengths to make highly convincing posters for the new season, however, Carter Matt reports on Feb. 8 that the posters are fakes and the creator of these posters is unknown.

Most of the posters surround witches, voodoo, and magic, but none of them are real. Some of the posters have the FX logo, the date of the season start and the time the show airs. The evidence that the posters are fake, however, are overwhelming. The most compelling evidence is the fact that all the posters, with the exception of two, all show older photographs when Ryan Murphy, the creator of the show has already stated that the show will be more modern.

The second season of "American Horror Story" just ended and the new season wouldn't be scheduled to begin until the fall of 2013. Why would FX begin to post trailers and photos of a season that doesn't begin until the end of the year? By the time spring came around, fans would already forget about the show entirely.

The list of cast members set to be in season three haven't even all been confirmed yet, so there is no reason that FX would already be promoting the new season that hasn't even been finalized.

So, if the cast hasn't been finalized, and the creator of the show claims that it will be more modern than these posters floating around, why would someone post them? Wishful thinking, perhaps? What's your opinion of the posters?
