Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the fourth season of FX’s hit horror drama American Horror Story anthology Freak Show is set to debut Wednesday, October 8, at 10 p.m.

The news was announced Wednesday, Aug. 21, via the AHS twitter account, along with a very creepy 10 second teaser trailer titled "Admit One."

Freak Show’s official synopsis is as follows:
"American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience."

Original American Horror Story actors returning to the circus-themed season four include Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, and Kathy Bates. Newcomers include Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, John Carroll Lynch, Finn Wittrock, Patti LaBelle, and the world’s smallest woman Jyoti Amge.

American Horror Story has garnered 17 Emmy nominations including Outstanding Miniseries, Outstanding Lead Actress to Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy and Angela Bassett.

American Horror Story has been positively received since its 2011 Murder House premiere, followed by Asylum (2012), and Coven (2013), and has received nominations and awards, specifically for Lange’s performance who received an Emmy, Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Set your calendars and prepare to be spooked out once again when American Horror Story: Freak Show returns Oct. 8. at 10 p.m. on FX.
