Ryan Murphy has revealed that the next season of “American Horror Story” will be called “Freak Show.” Entertainment Weekly reports on March 24 that the show will be set in 1950 and will include the return of Jessica Lange in a leadership role. The show will be in Florida as Lange’s character tries to keep her freak show business alive.

Lange will be in charge of a freak show in Jupiter, and she will be joined by Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett. Although fans thought the next season of “American Horror Story” would feature a circus or carnival and have been circulating rumors online, the focus actually seems narrower. Ryan Murphy’s post on Twitter with the title suggests that only the freak show will be included in the upcoming season.

Lange will have a German accent, but no other details about her character have been leaked. Evan Peters and Frances Conroy will join her, but it seems Lily Rabe may be missing this season. However, “American Horror Story: Freak Show” will continue with the common theme of outcasts trying to survive in a difficult world and will showcase their struggles.

Fans can expect the cast to delve into their roles as outsiders this time while they try to keep the freak show going. The background of the 1950s may also play an important part in their world as they work together.
