American Horror Story” has a religious following. It has only been a few weeks since the show wrapped the third season, and fans are already eager to find out more about the fourth installment. Rumors began circulating late last year about the theme and a circus was the fan-favorite choice. According to a March 24 report from The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Murphy confirmed the new subtitle for “American Horror Story” will be “Freak Show.” This leaves everything up to the imagination now and fans are running with ideas.

Ryan Murphy announced the newest “American Horror Story” would be set in the 1950s and Jessica Lange was working on her German accent just before the third season ended. From the information circulating today, the show may have flashbacks taking it back to earlier times. This will be the last installment of the series for Jessica Lange, so fans believe the season will be intense. Speculation is that the show may explore what the “freaks” had to deal with while on display and go in depth with what they are facing in the present.

There are so many ways things could play out for “American Horror Story” with the upcoming season. The show will return to the FX network in October for the fourth installment titled “Freak Show.”
