On Wednesday, September 11 Wetpaint Entertainment posted a new preview for the third season of the FX horror drama "American Horror Story" that features some of the recurring actors in their new roles. The new season, entitled "American Horror Story: Coven," will follow a group of witches as they learn to protect themselves from extinction in New Orleans.
The new sneak peek features a group of school girls slowly walking up to a large mansion, which is probably the school where they will be staying. Returning cast member Taissa Farmiga, who plays the character of Zoe, was leading the pack. The character played by Evan Peters was watching the group walk from an upstairs window. There is a person wearing a bulls heads on the porch that the girls walk around and some pigs seem to be running around the house as well.
Sarah Paulson, who is playing Cordelia, opens the door and lets the girls inside. Cordelia is the daughter of Fiona, the Supreme Witch, who returns to town to help the witches. Fiona is played by Jessica Lange and is standing in the mansion wearing a mask. Next to her are Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett, who are playing a serial killing witch and a local voodoo legend. The sneak peek is called "Initiation," so it seems there might be a ritual of some sort.
The season three premiere of "American Horror Story: Coven" will air on Wednesday, October 9 at 10 p.m. on FX. Tune in to see how witchcraft plays a part in the new series.
