'American Horror Story: Coven' spoiler roundup for 'The Seven Wonders'

The next Supreme is about to be chosen. On Monday, January 27 Wetpaint Entertainment posted several spoilers for the upcoming season finale of the television horror drama "American Horror Story: Coven," which follows a coven of witches in New Orleans as they learn to harness their powers. Each witch in the coven will perform The Seven Wonders to determine who the next Supreme will be.

The Seven Wonders includes telekinesis, concilium (mind control), transmutation, divination, vitalum vitalis (balancing life forces), descensum (the descent into the afterlife) and pyrokinesis. The four witches who will attempt to complete these tasks are Misty Day (Lily Rabe), Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe), Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), and Madison (Emma Roberts).

The promo for the episode reveals that someone is burned at the stake, the witches attempt to move objects like candles and Kyle (Evan Peters) kisses both Madison and Zoe before being put under some kind of spell. Myrtle (Francis Conroy) will be present for the events and Stevie Nicks will also make another appearance, which is an idea that Nicks brought to series co-creator Ryan Murphy.

There is some evidence to suggest that Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) may actually be the next Supreme, other than the fact that her mother Fiona is currently the Supreme. Newly released images for the finale show Cordelia with both of her eyes brown again as though she is fully healed. The show opening titles for Paulson also show the images of Santa Muerta, who is a personification of death and is also known as Lady of the Seven Powers.

"The Seven Wonders," the thirteenth episode and the season finale will air on Wednesday, January 29 at 10 p.m. on FX. Tune in to find out who the next Supreme will be and how the season wraps up. The show has already been renewed for a fourth season which is expected to be the last one that features actress Jessica Lange and could possibly film in New Mexico.
