"American Horror Story" is getting ready to return to Channel 27 in Tempe. On Monday, March 18, Ace Showbiz shared the latest spoilers for the third season of the series. Ryan Murphy is ready to put a spotlight on witches with this series. The man in charge revealed that the third season would be titled "Coven." Jessica Lange will return for the third season, and she will have a battle with Kathy Bates. She is a new addition to the series. "American Horror Story" will also see the return of Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, and Sarah Paulson for the third season as well.
Murphy said the following about the casting of Kathy Bates and her character, according to Ace Showbiz:
"[Her character is] cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. I wanted to see a lot of scenes with Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates going at it, so that's what you're going to see."
Murphy had been planning a season that focused on witches for two season now, and he also revealed that the series could see a season that focused on vampires at some point. The season will also feature a female monster. Season one and two featured male villains with Rubber Man and Bloody Face taking center stage.
