'American Horror Story' alum Chloe Sevigny to recur on 'Mindy Project'

Actress Chloe Sevigny will appear in the final three episodes of the first season of "The Mindy Project," E! Online reported Monday (March 4).

The "American Horror Story: Asylum" star will play Danny Castellano's (Chris Messina) much talked about ex-wife Christina, a well-traveled war photographer who broke his heart when she cheated on him.

She'll make an unexpected return to his life after receiving the letter Morgan (Ike Barinholtz) mailed to her without telling Danny. She's willing to settle down this time if Danny's willing to give her a second chance.

The Mindy Kaling-led FOX sitcom was recently renewed for a second season along with "New Girl," "Raising Hope" and the Kevin Bacon serial killer drama "The Following."

Sevigny won a Golden Globe for her role on HBO's "Big Love." She has since starred in the most recent season of "American Horror Story" and the British drama "Hit & Miss," in addition to guest spots on "Portlandia," "Louie" and "Law & Order: SVU." The 38-year-old actress is currently attached to the A&E drama pilot "Those Who Kill."

"The Mindy Project" continues Tuesdays at 9:30/8:30 p.m. CT on FOX. Sevigny will make her debut in the 22nd episode of the season airing in April.
