This year’s American Heart Association's Lafayette Start! Heart Walk begins at 10 a.m. on September 12th in the Purdue Research Park. The one mile course follows the bike paths that wind throughout the research park.
Participants can begin checking in at 9 a.m. on the morning of the walk at the registration booth located in the parking lot of the Ross Enterprise Center. The center is located in the Purdue Research Park, 1801 Kalbur Road in West Lafayette. Anyone interested in participating can register early at the event website or register the day of the walk.
The event is free for anyone who wants to participate and walkers who raise $100 will receive a commemorative t-shirt. This year’s goal is to raise $100,000 which will be used in the fight to battle heart disease locally and nationally.
