American Head Charge will bring the Shoot Tour to Des Moines' East Village on Wednesday night for a concert at Wooly's. Tourmates Righteous Vendetta and Cathercist will join Oskaloosa's This Sudden Darkness and Ottumwa's Of Kings and Beasts as openers. The doors at Wooly's will open at 6 p.m., and the musical destruction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $15 in advance or $18 the day of the show. They may be purchased at the Wooly's box office or online through Ticketfly. This is an all ages concert event. [Please note: this concert was originally scheduled for the House of Bricks, but was moved to Wooly's.]

American Head Charge founders Chad Hanks and Cameron Heacock met in rehab and wrote their first song together as a requirement for Hanks' release. The industrial metal band has gone through a number of trials and tribulations since, but despite the death of guitarist Bryan Ottoson and two years apart, the band soldiers on. Discovered by System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian at a Des Moines concert, AHC went on to sign with Rick Rubin at American Recordings. American Head Charge has released three studio albums, a DVD/CD compilation, and (last year) added their first EP, Shoot. Check out the band's biggest commercial hit, "Just So You Know", in the nearby video.

Fans of This Sudden Darkness, make sure that you catch this show. This is the band's last concert before going off the grid for most of the rest of 2014 to work on music for a new album.
