American Foundation for the Blind announces free low vision seminar

The North Texas office of the American Foundation for the Blind has announced free low vision seminars to be held in Dallas and Tyler for Vision Awareness Day,

The free seminar will allow individuals with a visual impairment to discover solutions to help them regain independence. Available assistive technologies will be presented along with education details and hands-on demonstrations.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and use the products themselves.

The seminar is intended for:

* Those with vision loss

* Parents and family members

* Occupational therapists

* Instructors and trainers

* Seniors and senior center staff

* Vision support groups

The Tyler seminar is scheduled for March 19th, 9 AM - 3 PM, at Lighthouse Low Vision Store, 411 West Front Street, Tyler, TX 75702.

The Dallas seminar is March 21st, 2013, 9 AM - 3 PM, at American Foundation for the Blind, 11030 Ables Lane, Dallas, TX 75229.
