Every year the American Film Institute (AFI) in Silver Spring, Maryland begins accepting applications for the 48 Hour Film Project. The competition is open to all ‘Do-It-Yourself’ film makers. Those accepted are given a genre, prop, a character, and a line of dialogue and expected to produce a short film within 48 hours. The pressure is on and yields some real creativity. This year the results of the selected film-makers are available for public viewing from May 8th to the 11th at AFI in Silver Spring, MD. Tickets may be purchased through AFI.
