American Express has expanded their Membership Rewards Program to include the option of purchasing virtual goods for FarmVille and other Zynga games with rewards points.
Some pretty exclusive items are available to FarmVille players, including the following:
- Purple Cow for 540 points
- Gum Tree for 435 points
- Blue Manor for 1,300 points
- Windmill for 1,080 points
- Manx Cat for 435 points
- $25 Zynga game card for 2,500 points
The Purple Cow can be placed in your Dairy Barn, and does give you a chance of producing a Purple Calf upon harvesting.
Virtual items are also available for Cafe World and YoVille, two more games from Zynga boasting millions of monthly users. See all of the items available here.
All of the items are available as an "e-certificate", so you can receive them via email immediately upon redeeming.

This really sucks. I'm a faithful Farmville player who has spent quite a bit of money on Farmville Cash and because I don't have an American Express Card I have to miss out on special items. It's just like the IPhone. Zynga you're really being unfair to your dedicated players. You shouldn't make some people more important than others. If this keeps up I'm going to quit playing the game and keep my money for other things. Why don't you rethink this? Offer these items to us for Farm Cash.
It does suck because it doesn't work. Traded in reward points and recieved a link from American express and got an error message saying to call amx rewards customer service and they told me it was a zynga problem...Amx did return my reward points though.
