Are you on the beer bus or are you off the beer bus? There is no in-between.
May 17-23 is American Craft Beer Week., “The mother of all beer weeks,” according to the Brewers Association. They just might be on to something, since its 2006 inception, scores of local, regional and city-wide craft beer weeks have emerged all across the United States.
Last year’s inaugural effort on facebook to reach 10,000 fans was exceeded and currently stands at over 12,751. The 2010 goal is to reach over 20,000 fans on American Craft Beer Week on Facebook.
In 2006 Congress in more celebratory bipartisan times, ratified House Resolution 753, recognizing American Craft Beer Week.
Declare your Beer Independence by visiting The Declaration of Beer Independence which begins :
I declare that these are historic times for beer with today’s beer lover having inalienable rights, among these life, liberty, and the pursuit of hops and malt fermented from the finest of U.S. small and independent craft brewers with more than 1,400 of them brewing today, and
I declare the beer I choose to enjoy is not a commodity, but more importantly an artistic creation of living liquid history made from passionate innovators. The beer I drink furthers our culture and teaches us geography and helps to nurture a sense of community, and helps to make the world a better place, and…more.
