The American Country Awards are set to air on Fox on Monday, December 5th, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth will host the two hour show, now in its second year. The American Country Awards is entirely voted by country music fans and includes awards for artist, album, single, video and touring.
As of November 1st, there are just ten days left to vote for your favorites in each category except for the Artist of the Year category, which won't be decided until December 2nd. To vote, you must first register on the ACA site, which only takes a minute to input your email and choose a password. Once you are registered, you may immediately begin voting and vote once per day until the deadline.
Popular artists such as Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney are among the nominees, but fans may be excited to see some fresh faces on the list as well. Chris Young, Thompson Square, Jerrod Niemann and Ashton Shepherd have earned a few places on the ballot, as well as the recently-returned-to-country-music, Sara Evans.
The American Country Awards offer the unique chance for fans to voice their opinions in every category and thus, share in the excitement when their favorite country music artist is named as the winner. Voting ends November 11th, 2011, so if you want to be part of the fun, register and begin voting soon.
